Safeguarding Adults for Care Providers

We all have a responsibility to protect vulnerable adults by creating environments in which abuse of any kind is not tolerated.
This session incorporates both theory and practical examples and is delivered in an interactive and engaging way. Safeguarding is a complex subject and training in this area has to involve the learners, making them think about their own behaviour and the effect it has on others.
A typical safeguarding session covers:
This subject is available at different levels depending upon your audience. It can be delivered for people in direct support roles (alerters), for investigators, senior managers and directors. Please contact Matt if you have a particular group or audience in mind.
This session can be delivered at your premises at a time to suit you, please contact Matt for a quotation. All in-house training includes handouts for each delegate, a certificate of attendance and, if required, an assessment tool which can be used by employers to verify and evidence the learning that has taken place.

- The factors which can make abuse more likely
- The difference between consequences and punishment
- What we can do to make a positive difference
- The do’s and don’ts relating to disclosures
- What constitutes good recording
